    Aidan Holmes, Logan Wendell and Evan Cabral combined for 63 points to lift Ithaca to an 80-69 triumph over Stockton on Friday afternoon in a NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament first round contest inside WPI’s Harrington Auditorium.

    Ohio Wesleyan savored a 58-55 victory at home over No. 10 Ohio Northern while No. 9 UW-Whitewater rallied past Illinois Wesleyan on the road and the Stockton men started conference play with a big win on the last full night of Division III basketball before the Thanksgiving break.

    Stockton University (24-5) moved on to the NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16 with a thrilling 68-65 win over the University of Mary Washington (20-9) on Saturday night. Kyion Flanders led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points to lead the Ospreys.

    Galloway, NJ – Stockton University head coach Gerry Matthews collected his 600th career victory with a 76-56 triumph over Kean University (4-18, 4-12 NJAC). Matthews became just the 16th coach in Division III history and sixth active coach to reach 600 wins.

    Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (14-5, 9-3 NJAC) led wire-to-wire as they won their fifth consecutive game with an 82-60 victory over William Paterson (9-10, 4-8 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon. Armin Cane (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) scored 17 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to lead four Ospreys in double figures.

    Ewing, NJ – Stockton University (13-5, 8-3 NJAC) broke out to a 21-8 lead in the first 10 minutes and sailed to a 77-68 victory over The College of New Jersey (11-7, 6-5).
