GALLOWAY, NJ -- Kate Herlihy netted a career-high 36 points and broke the program single game record with nine three pointers to help lift Rowan to a 65-61 NJAC win at Stockton Wednesday night in the regular season finale.

The Profs have solidified the fourth seed in the NJAC Tournament and will host fifth-seeded Kean in a quarterfinal matchup here on Saturday at 1 p.m. from Esbjornson Gymnasium. It will be a rematch of last season's quarterfinal round where the Cougars and Profs met.

Herlihy was 13-of-19 from the floor including a staggering 9-of-12 from downtown. 25 of her game-best 36 points came in the second half with 17 in the third quarter alone as Rowan fought off a late Stockton push in the final frame. The senior broke the old mark of eight set on January 24, 2018 by Olivia Rulon in a win at Rutgers-Camden.

Leading 25-23 at the half, Herlihy and the Profs turned it on in the third. A 14-3 run to open the frame, with all 14 points coming from Herlihy opened up a double-figure lead. She would hit four three's to finish with 17 points giving the visitors an 11-point edge heading into the fourth (50-39).

Stockton's Grace Speer scored 18 of her 34 points in the fourth quarter as the Osrpeys tried to push ahead.

Herlihy's ninth three of the game put Rowan up, 64-54, with 2:13 left to seemingly ice it, but a three-point play from Speer was part of a 7-0 run as the Ospreys climbed within three. Jess McLaughlin hit one of two from the line off a three-point Stockton miss with 11 ticks lock up the victory.

Saturday's other quarterfinal matchup pits #6 NJCU at #3 William Paterson. #2 Montclair State and top-seeded TCNJ have earned byes. Semifinal action continues on Wednesday, February 26th with the championship on Saturday, March 1st.
