Pitt-Bradford (9-5, 5-2) jumped on the scoreboard early, and despite allowing the Hawks to tie the game just four minutes into the contest, the Panthers held a six-point advantage nearly seven minutes into the action.

The Panthers worked their way to as much as a 13-point lead late in the first half before the Hawks found a way to cut the deficit before heading to the locker room.

With 1:35 remaining until the break, Pitt-Bradford held a double-digit lead when a foul against the Panthers sent Hilbert's Natalie Whitman to the line for two shots. Whitman sank both free throws, cutting the deficit once again.

The Panthers and Hawks entered the locker room after the first half with the Panthers leading 30-23.

Pitt-Bradford shot just 30 percent from the field during the first twenty minutes and did not connect on a triple in five attempts. The Panthers were 6-of-10 from the line.

At that time, Sneeringer went to the line and made both free throws to give the Panthers a nine-point advantage.
