LISLE, Ill. - The 10th-ranked Benedictine University men's basketball team pulled away from MSOE to win 84-58 and improve to 6-0 on the season.

THE DETAILS
• MSOE held an early 4-0 lead and erased a five-point deficit to hold a lead at 17-13 with 11:18 to play in the first half
Benedictine responded with a 10-0 run to take the lead for good
Shawn Soelter hit a three to put Benedictine ahead at 18-17 with 10:26 to go in the first
Mack Brown added a three-pointer to cap the run, making the score 23-17 with 8:52 left
Two three-pointers were part of an 8-0 run to finish the first half, putting Benedictine in front 42-29 on a late triple from Tahron Harvey
MSOE pulled no closer than 12 points in the second half and a stretch of eight consecutive points put the margin at 21 on a Brown layup with 12:52 to play
Both halves featured identical 42-29 scores
The margin of victory was the largest of the season for Benedictine

"We did a great job of putting away an opponent for the first time this season tonight," head coach Keith Bunkenburg said. "The bench played a huge role in the contest, giving quality minutes and the defense played well all night in one of the most complete games of the season."
