Randolph-Macon won its ninth consecutive game as the No. 16 Yellow Jackets got a win in their final non-conference matchup of the regular season, overcoming 19 points from Ethan Ward and 17 from Jahn Haines to knock off No. 7 Christopher Newport 77-72 on Wednesday night.
CNU (14-4) retook the lead early in the second half as the Captains reeled off seven consecutive points to go up 41-38, and CNU led by as many as five twice in the second half, the last coming after a Toa Hollenbeck jumper with 6:44 to play made it 64-59. But the Captains got off their moorings from there, as Randolph-Macon (12-3) scored the next nine points, holding CNU to 0-for-4 shooting and forcing a turnover. CNU did battle back to tie the game at 68, but Amr Areikat scored seven points in the final minute, including going 4-for-4 from the foul line, to secure the victory. Keishawn Pulley Jr. led Randolph-Macon with 16 points, while Jabril Robinson added 15 and Areikat and Malcolm Hodges scored 13 apiece.
Redlands lost its first game in more than a month, as AJ Rohosy had a huge night for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, pouring in 36 points and collecting 16 rebounds to lead the Stags to a 99-97 win against the No. 20 Bulldogs. Rohosy, a grad transfer from Washington State, shot 15-for-21 from the floor, as his team shot 58 percent for the game. That included a layup with just over a minute left to gove CMS (9-3, 3-0 SCIAC) the lead, and the last five points of the game. Rohosy is averaging 32.7 points and 17.3 rebounds in the three conference games.
AJ Rohosy is one of the very best bigs and players in all of #d3hoops. The 6’9” GR from Division I Washington State is averaging over 32 points and 17 rebounds per game in 3 @theSCIAC games so far this season

Aamari Moorer scored 18 points and Omari DeVeaux added 16 in the win as the Marlins improved to 12-3, 5-1 in the ODAC. For Macedo, it is his 500th win against 187 career losses for a .728 winning percentage at the program he has been coaching since the 2000-01 season.
Joey Fuhremann scored 13 second half points and Logan Pearson scored 10 after halftime as No. 1 UW-Platteville came back from nine points down in the second half to defeat UW-Eau Claire 79-68. Pearson became the Pioneers' all-time leading scorer on Wednesday night in the win, as he finished with a team-high 21 points.
Sixth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan placed five scorers in double figures as the Titans rolled past Millikin 77-60. Mason Funk led IWU (14-2, 6-1 CCIW) with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Karlo Colak scored a game-high 15 and Nick Roper and freshman Josh Fridman each had 12.
Gustavus Adolphus cruised on the road, winning 85-65 at St. Mary's (Minn.) to improve to 6-0 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. It's the first time the Gusties have been 6-0 in the MIAC since 2000-01, the year before their run to the national title game. Gustavus (12-3, 6-0) put together a 15-3 run midway through the first half and never looked back, leading by 15 at the half.
Adam Brazil scored a game-high 17 points, tying his career-high with eight rebounds, and the Tigers scored the last eight points as No. 10 Hampden-Sydney won 69-59 at Washington & Lee. The visiting Tigers led 48-36 with 9:53 remaining, but the host Generals pulled within 57-55 with 2:57 left to play, before the Garnet & Grey closed the contest on a 12-4 run for the victory. It was the program's first win in Lexington since February 2, 2013.
Drew improved to 7-0 in the Landmark Conference and 11-3 overall as the Rangers rallied from 15 points down to get by Wilkes at home, 84-82. Drew chipped away at the lead before Malcolm Newman hit a three-pointer from the far corner with 4.2 seconds left to give the Rangers their first and only lead of the game. Wilkes (11-3, 5-1) had one look at the basket at the final buzzer, but it's not clear where the shot was from since the camera turned too late for the shot to be seen. Newman finished with 19 points, while Kline led Drew with 20 points and four blocked shots. Drew's losses are to TCNJ (11-4), Farmingdale State (7-7) and No. 4 NYU (12-0).
Jackson Bell hit a three-pointer from the near corner with 0.2 seconds left as Roanoke came from 10 points down in the final minute to win 80-79 at Lynchburg. Lynchburg led 77-67 but a traditional three-point play from Joshua McClary, a layup from Marcus Morgan and another layup from McClary cut the edge to 78-74. Bell nailed a three with 12 seconds left and the Hornets (9-6, 3-3) missed two free throws with 6.4 seconds remaining to set up the final play. After a timeout, Morgan dribbled the length of the court and found Bell in the left corner for his game-winning trey. Roanoke improved to 12-3, 6-1 in the ODAC.

Gwynedd Mercy saw its 13-game winning streak to open the season snapped as the Griffins lost at home to Marymount, 78-72. Marcus Stubbs scored 13 for the Saints and Jase Mosley added 13 more off the bench as Marymount improved to 9-6, 3-0 in the Atlantic East.
Jack Connell hit a jumper with 0.3 seconds left as Wentworth picked up just its third win of the season, defeating Nichols 72-71. Connell's baseline jumper went through before the buzzer, setting off a celebration, but the officials cleared the court and put time back on the clock since it failed to stop on the made basket. Connell finished with 16 points, while Tyler Stewart poured in a game-high 29 points and gathered 10 rebounds.
Wednesday women's highlights
On the women’s side, No. 4 UW-Oshkosh scored the last seven points of the game as the Titans won 59-52 in overtime at No. 15 UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks rallied from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to tie the game, then got three looks at the basket in the closing seconds only to come up empty. In the overtime, Mallory Oloffson and Katie Hildebrandt each fouled out, and the Titans' depth came to the fore as Oshkosh held Whitewater scoreless in the five-minute period. Kayce Vaile scored a game-high 19 points and added 13 rebounds and five blocked shots as they improved to 15-0, 4-0 in the WIAC. Whitewater fell to 11-4 and 1-3, picking up its third consecutive loss.
The DeSales women have already lost as many games this season as they have in any year since 2018, but the Bulldogs hadn't been taken down in MAC Freedom competition so far this season. That is, until tonight. King's got that done on Wednesday night, however, as Cadie Lewis and Lauren Casey each posted double-doubles to help the Monarchs get past DeSales 54-50 in overtime. In a defensive battle where both teams shot around 30 percent from the floor and 20 percent from three-point range, King's (6-8, 2-1 MAC Freedom) made the difference at the foul line, where they hit 13 of 18 shots. Lewis had a game-high 17 points and added 15 rebounds, all of them on the defensive end. Casey had 12 points, 12 boards and added five blocked shots. The two of them combined to shoot 10-for-19, while the rest of the King's lineup was 8-for-37. Aubrey Pollard had 13 points and 13 rebounds off the bench for DeSales (9-5, 2-1).
Mount Union scored the first 10 points of the game, but Baldwin Wallace scored the last one and that was the one that the No. 12 Yellow Jackets needed to get by the Purple Raiders, 46-45. Mount Union (6-8, 1-6 Ohio Athletic Conference) led by as many as five in the fourth quarter after McKayla Dunkle found Elizabeth Mason for a three-pointer with 6:19 to play to put her team up 39-34. But BW (13-1, 7-0) scored the next five to tie it at 39, then there were ties at 43 and 45 before Bella Vaillant was fouled with seven seconds left. She missed the first, but made the second to give her team the 46-45 lead, and Mount Union turned the ball over on its subsequent possession. Vaillant led BW with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Mary Schleusner scored a game-high 25 points and had 24 rebounds, but shot just 11-for-31 from the floor and turned the ball over six times as No. 20 Washington & Lee (13-2, 5-1 ODAC) just got past Shenandoah 62-59. The game was tied four times in a tight fourth quarter and Shenandoah (9-5, 5-2) led when Jessica Littlejohn hit a layup with 2:17 to play to put the Hornets up 57-55. But Schleusner answered with a bucket to tie and Elka Prechel added a three-pointer with 1:24 left to put Shenandoah away.
UW-Stout's first appearance as a ranked team this season was a successful one, as the No. 21 Blue Devils got 20 apiece from Raegan Sorenson and Anna Mutch in a 77-69 win at UW-La Crosse. Lauryn Milne hit a jumper with 3:04 to play to get UWL within a point at 64-63, but Stout scored eight of the next 10 to keep La Crosse at bay. The Blue Devils (12-3, 3-1 WIAC) kept La Crosse (9-6, 1-3) to 4-for-18 from three-point range.
Coe dropped its second consecutive game and Dubuque improved to 6-9 as three players scored in double figures for the Spartans in a 60-51 win. Isabella Tierney tied for the game high with 13 points and Morgan Hawkins added 12 points and nine rebounds in the win. Dubuque led wire to wire as Coe fell to 12-3, 4-2 in the American Rivers Conference.
Kate Herlihy eclipsed her career high for the second time in two weeks, netting 33 points as Rowan held off Stockton, 60-55, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup. The senior guard, who had a previous best of 28 points against DeSales on Jan. 4, was 13-of-22 shooting from the floor, adding five rebounds and tying a personal high with six steals. Herlihy helped put things away in the fourth as her fifth triple put the home team back ahead for good, 53-52, with 3:27 to play. Rowan was able to ice things at the free throw line down the stretch to help notch the team's sixth conference win on the year.
