Sunday wrap: Chicago wins unbeaten battle

Morgan Herrick shot 7-for-7 from the field en route to a game-high 16 points and No. 2 Chicago won its 36th consecutive regular season game, defeating No. 5 Rochester 75-59.

The loss knocked Rochester from the ranks of the unbeaten, leaving just five in Division III women's basketball. The Yellowjackets get a chance to return the favor next Sunday.

Seventh-ranked Washington U. survived at home against Emory, but needed to go to overtime to do it, winning 83-80. The Bears held the Eagles to 1-for-8 shooting from the floor in overtime. Maddy Scheppers led Wash U with 19 points.

Sunday's men's action

Dylan Richter scored a career-high 33 points on nine three-pointers to lead Washington U. to a 99-88 upset win over No. 4 ranked Emory on Sunday afternoon. Richter connected on 9-of-13 three-pointers in the victory, which was Emory's second road loss in as many games, and its third loss in four UAA road games. The Bears improved to 14-4, 6-1 in the UAA halfway through the conference schedule.

No. 17 NYU got back on the winning track, defeating Case Western Reserve 89-80. Andy Stein scored a team-high 25 points for the Violets, as Case fell to 0-7 in the UAA. No. 12 Birmingham-Southern improved to 18-1 with a 73-64 win at Hendrix.
