Pitt-Bradford coach Andy Moore was let go last month, apparently after a postgame argument with athletic director Lori Mazza.
According to published reports, Moore was shaking hands with Medaille players after a last-second foul resulted in two free throws and a 73-71 loss.
Moore had just been featured on NCAA.org. His three sons, Zach, Sam and Alex are on the team. It wasn't clear whether any of them remained on the team. Moore was in his 18th season at Pitt-Bradford and had compiled a 275-196 mark.
Brian Samson, who was hired as an interim women's basketball coach midway through last season at Pitt-Bradford, was rehired as interim men's basketball coach effective Dec. 29. The Panthers' next game is Jan. 3 at Wittenberg.
According to those in attendance and the Olean Times Herald, as Moore was shaking hands with Medaille players, Mazza ran onto the court and confronted him.
Allegedly she put her hands on him, which led to a face-to-face, finger-pointing shouting match that lasted several minutes as shocked players, fans and officials looked on.
