Another MWC crushing

Lawrence knocked off a ranked opponent for the second time in four days, as the Vikings went to St. Norbert and beat the No. 11 Green Knights, 75-52.

Lawrence had won 94-67 at then-No. 24 Carroll on Saturday. Carroll was playing without its best player, John Hoch, who was averaging 24 points per game.

Tuesday night's win ended St. Norbert's 15-game winning streak, a run which included an upset of then-No. 1 UW-Platteville. Tuesday night's men's scores.

&&f-boxl&&Jack Minister scored a career-high 27 points and Brian Vayda had a career-best 15 rebounds as Clark knocked off crosstown rival No. 22 Worcester Polytech 68-56. Rhode Island College ended the game on a 44-15 run, rallying from 18 down to win at home against No. 20 Amherst. St. John Fisher led by as many as 12 in the first half but couldn't hold on as No. 9 Ithaca rallied to win 75-66. And No. 6 Puget Sound, unbeaten against Division III teams, made quick work of Pacific Lutheran in an 84-59 victory.

In women's action, No. 15 Tufts used a late 14-4 run to get past Mass-Dartmouth 66-60, while top-ranked Illinois Wesleyan and No. 8 Messiah had little trouble with North Park and Elizabethtown, respectively. Tuesday night's women's scores.

Daniel Webster's women reached 11 wins for the first time in more than a decade, turning 32 Southern Vermont turnovers into 31 points in a 69-49 win. The last 11-win season for the Eagles was 1997-98. Hollins' losing streak extended to 56 games in a 70-26 defeat at Guilford.
