No. 24 Washington U. won its 10th game in 11 tries and its second of the weekend on the road against a ranked team, this time besting No. 10 NYU 63-53. The Bears had 11 players score but only one reached double figures (Kathryn Berger with 11 points). Washington U. plays five of its last seven games at home including a rematch with the Violets next Friday.

With two losses this weekend the Cardinals fall three games behind idle Rochester Tech in the Empire 8 chase. Methodist gave Christopher Newport its first conference loss 61-57 as A.B.
