St. Thomas and Illinois Wesleyan have taken over as the new No. 1 teams in the D3hoops.com Top 25. It's the first time for either school at the top of the poll in its 10-year history.

The Tommies, who are the only undefeated team in Division III men's basketball, received 18 of 25 voters' first-place votes. Defending national champion Washington U., which defeated then-No. 18 Carnegie Mellon 90-70 on the road on Sunday afternoon, got the other seven. The full poll.

Illinois Wesleyan got 24 women's first-place votes, with UW-Stevens Point getting the other.

The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
