NC Wesleyan scored 68 on Wesley in the first half so the Wolverines returned the favor with 70 in the second half. The Battling Bishops won the game 114-102. Guilford began life without Ben Strong with an 81-55 victory over Methodist. Scranton defeated Lycoming 70-59 by shooting above 50 percent from the field and behind the arc.
Sunday standouts include Wesley's Rashawn Johnson, who scored 35 points in 36 minutes, and Bard's Latiqua Williams, who posted a quadruple-double against New Rochelle. It's the first reported quadruple-double in Division III women's basketball since Danna Purnell of SUNY-Old Westbury also did it against New Rochelle on Feb. 10, 2007.
