Ursinus and Gettysburg rallied from double-digit second-half deficits to knock off Virginia Wesleyan and Elms and advance to the Sweet 16 in Saturday night's second-round action.
The Bears, who trailed last year's national runners-up by 19 points, bounced back to win 70-64, ending the game on a 39-14 run. Gettysburg got three baskets from Corey Dorsey in the final 45 seconds, two of them three-pointers in the final 16.2 to beat Elms 66-65. &&g-boxr&&Chad Songy hit a three-pointer with 2.3 seconds left to lead No. 14 Millsaps past No. 12 Mary Hardin-Baylor 57-56. The Majors are in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1995. The Iowa Conference finished eliminating the Wisconsin Conference as Buena Vista defeated UW-Stevens Point 54-53. St. Mary's (Md.) continued its Cinderella run into the Sweet 16, defeating Widener 83-74. Coast Guard did so as well, winning at Mass-Dartmouth 50-47 after an 18-2 run to close the game.

Ohio Wesleyan remained undefeated in NCAA Tournament play, defeating Centre 82-65. The Battling Bishops won the national title in 1988 and had not played in the tournament since. Top-ranked Hope dispatched with Capital, while defending national champion Amherst took care of John Jay.
No. 7 Plattsburgh State survived a scare against King's, winning 83-77 in overtime. Vince Scalzo hit a three-pointer for the Monarchs with 10 seconds left to tie the game, but the Cardinals outscored King's 14-8 in the extra session.
