It's not clear we ever have a lot of faith or confidence in our own projections, but this may be a completely new era of shaken faith.

This year we have a brand-new NCAA selection criterion, in terms of the new strength of schedule calculations. We've never seen them put into practice. Never watched multiple teams from multiple regions picked and tracked the math backwards.

&&g-boxl&&When the numbers told us we needed to take a fourth NESCAC school, we weren't overly surprised. The NESCAC once got three teams into the 48-team field, after all. But when the numbers told us we needed to take a third SCIAC team, well ... all bets were off.
