No. 9 Washington U. completed the weekend sweep, turning around each of last weekend's results after beating No. 3 Rochester on Sunday afternoon, 54-53. The Bears, who improved to 16-4, beat Carnegie Mellon on Friday after losing to both schools on the road last weekend.

All-American center Troy Ruths was 7-for-13 from the floor, scoring a team-high 18 points while Aaron Thompson added 17 in the win. In Sunday's women's action, No. 7 Rochester came the closest it ever has to winning at Wash U, but the Bears' Alex Hoover hit a buzzer-beater in overtime to win 63-61. No. 12 DePauw has avenged its Jan. 13 road loss to Birmingham-Southern with an 81-56 win. The Birmingham-Southern women's program has scholarship players left from last year's Division I team and falls to 17-5.
