A big weekend for No. 13 Stevens got off to a rough start as it fell to RIT 91-85. The Tigers scored 55 second half points to knock the Ducks from the ranks of the unbeaten. Stevens, who was playing only its second road game, will have to regroup quickly since it plays at upstart Nazareth on Saturday. The Golden Flyers are 8-1 after beating Alfred 89-73.
At least the Ducks have feathered friends in their Friday night misery. No. 19 Plattsburgh State dropped its second straight when Gordon beat the Cardinals 90-82. No. 11 Brockport State got All-American guard Sherod Harris back, but it didn't get a win either. Hamilton topped the Golden Eagles 72-62, holding Brockport State to its lowest offensive output since February 2006.

The number of undefeated women's teams stayed at an even dozen for another day. No. 16 Cortland State shook off any rust after a four week layoff and defeated Clarkson 66-56. No. 4 NYU didn't have the long break, but did get the same result with a 63-45 victory over Johns Hopkins. Lebanon Valley blew past Keystone 79-47 and Amherst nipped Endicott 72-70.
No. 5 Mary Washington bounced back from its first loss by beating Christopher Newport 67-52 on the road. The game was a rematch of last year's second round NCAA tournament contest. More women's scores from Friday night.
