No. 5 UW-Whitewater led by 21 points with 5:45 to go but needed to hit three clutch free throws in the final seconds to hold off No. 1 Mary Washington 70-67.
The Eagles went on a 28-7 run over the next five minutes and momentarily capped the comeback on Kaitie Clarkin's three-pointer from the top of the key with 23 seconds left that evened the contest at 67. After UWW's Heidi Sontag hit the back end of a two-shot foul opportunity for a 68-67 lead with 13 seconds to play, Clarkin had a chance for a game-winner but her three-pointer was off the mark with :04 showing. Following a quick UMW foul, the Warhawks' Trisha Thill knocked down a pair of free throws to secure the victory with one second remaining.

Wilmington ended Oglethorpe's 2006-07 season and ended the Stormy Petrels unbeaten run in 2007-08 as well as the Quakers finished on a 20-5 run to win 80-70. Sunday's women's scores and men's scores
The Quakers (10-2) got double-figure scoring from all five starters, as Jackie Hauke shot 6-for-8 from the floor en route to 20 points, while Marianne McGoron added 15 and Kortney Kin 14.
Oglethorpe (9-1) led 46-39 at the half after Wilmington turned the ball over 14 times in the first 20 minutes. But the Stormy Petrels, who were led by Anna Findley's 23 points, shot 1-for-18 from three-point range in the second half in the loss. Photo gallery.
