Amherst and DePauw each came through on their first trip to the national title game, bringing Walnut and Bronze home to Massachusetts and Indiana. The Lord Jeffs rolled past defending champion Virginia Wesleyan, 80-67, while DePauw blocked a Wash U 3-point attempt on the final possession and held on to win 55-52. Photo galleries.

D3hoops.com recapped each Final Four -- check out our final thoughts. Amherst finally did what it hadn't done before in Salem, then did it again, winning the national title. And DePauw, which couldn't identify a significant gut check before the Final Four, encountered its moment of truth and survived in Springfield.

Congratulations to Southern Maine's Ashley Marble and Guilford's Ben Strong, the D3hoops.com Player of the Year for women's and men's basketball. Our All-American teams, men's and women's, were announced on our broadcast of the national title games. And congratulations to Worcester Wildfire and EagleScout, the winners of the 2007 Pick 'Em contest. Check out the final men's and women's bracket as well.
