Greer joins Club 2,000

Chestnut Hill guard Isaac Greer became the first member of the school's 2,000-point club Tuesday night when senior forward Mike Devine found him lurking on the baseline for an easy layup. It was part of the Griffins' 89-64 NEAC quarterfinal win against Penn State-Berks.

Greer is the fourth recorded player to surpass the 2,000-point milestone this season.

The leading scorer in Chestnut Hill's brief men's basketball history, Greer currently stands at 2,013 career points. Greer has been the team's leading scorer each of his four seasons, serving twice as team captain. His best season came in his sophomore year when he led the Griffins to their first NEAC postseason berth. Greer averaged 22.8 points per game (616 total), while providing 4.4 RPG (119 rbs), 69 steals, and 16 blocks directing Chestnut Hill College to a semifinal appearance against Villa Julie College. Greer broke the 1,000-point plateau that season with a 32-point performance against Polytechnic on Feb. 17, 2005.

Greer is also the program's all-time leader in three-point percentage, free throw percentage, rebounding, steals, and blocks. He will have a chance to extend his scoring mark against Baptist Bible on Friday night in the NEAC semifinals.
