UW-Lax upends Oshkosh

One week after No. 5 UW-Oshkosh upset UW-Stevens Point on the road, the shoe was on the Titans' other foot as they fell at home to No. 22 UW-La Crosse 73-62.

Chris Ask led the Eagles with 21 points and Joe Werner notched his 11th double-double of the year (20 points, 12 rebounds). No. 3 UW-Stevens Point rolled UW-Eau Claire 90-61 to take a two-game lead on the other two ranked WIAC teams.

The CCIW also has a clear leader after another wild night of conference play. No. 10 Augustana opened a two-game advantage with a 71-56 victory at North Park. Millikin tipped No. 12 Elmhurst 89-85, dropping the Blue Jays into a second place tie with Wheaton (Ill.) who beat No. 17 Carthage 71-67.

Lincoln kept its NCAA tournament hopes alive with a 73-72 win over Ramapo. The win will likely be the Lions' last at home as a member of Division III with the team moving to Division II next season.

Gerry Matthews picked up his 400th victory as Richard Stockton eased past Rutgers-Camden 80-50. Matthews is the third recorded men's coach to reach that milestone this season joining Jeff Gamber of York (Pa.) and Steve Bankson of Baldwin-Wallace. More men's scores here.

In women's action No. 22 Baldwin-Wallace staved off Heidelberg's upset bid with a 66-58 win in OT. Carly Flowers had 15 points in just 19 minutes for the Yellow Jackets. No. 24 William Paterson was not as fortunate as the Pioneers fell at Montclair State 72-61.

UW-River Falls defeated No. 10 UW-Stout 79-68, handing the Blue Devils just their second conference loss of the season. Lisa Winkle scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace No. 3 Calvin to a 75-65 win over Albion, the Knights' 15th straight victory. Drew crafted a big win over DeSales 72-68 in overtime as Melissa Kraft scored 27 points, including eight in the final minute of the extra period. More women's scores here.

Division III basketball also bid adieu to the Scranton-King's MAC Freedom rivalry, at least for the regular season, with the Monarchs winning the men's game 75-72 and the No. 5 Lady Royals winning the women's tilt 78-73.
