There hasn't been much reason to pay attention to the Rose-Hulman women's basketball program. The 3-22 record posted in 2002-03 was fairly typical. The previous seven years, the first in the program's history, had seen just 18 wins total against 152 losses.
However, the Engineers posted double-digit wins each of the next three seasons. And this year, they have posted double-digit wins already, starting the year off 10-1, 4-0 in the HCAC.
It's the drive of a pair of seniors, scoring and rebounding machine Rebekah Forsyth and nationally recognized shooter Suzy Carlson, which leads this winningest class in school history. However, it's "still a work in progress" according to the team's first-year coach. Jon Prevo is molding this group into a defense and rebounding squad.
