Albion men's coach Mike Turner became the 19th coach with Division III experience to post 500 career victories as the Britons knocked down 10-of-18 shots from 3-point range in shelling Finlandia 98-55, at LaSalle High School on Friday night.
Albion sprinted out to a 52-16 lead 16 minutes into the game and never looked back. Andrew Holms and Tom Jurasek connected from behind the arc on four consecutive possessions as the Britons led 31-14 with 11 and a half minutes left in the first half. Jurasek scored on all five of his shots from the floor for 14 first-half points.
Jurasek finished with a career-high 18 on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor. His last 3-point shot was halfway through the hoop before popping out.
Albion also received career scoring highs from D.J. Mocini and Andy Reule. Both players were 5-of-5 from the floor as Mocini (boosted by four 3-point shots) finished with 14, and Reule finished with 10. Reule also grabbed six rebounds.
Holms was the fourth Briton in double figures, finishing with 13 points.
